By placing an order with Direct Carpet Centre, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to the use of our website www.directcarpetcentre.co.uk and any orders placed through it.
General
Direct Carpet Centre reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to review them on each occasion that you use the website, as your continued use indicates acceptance of the latest version.
If you are acting on behalf of a business rather than as an individual consumer, you confirm that you have the authority to bind the business to these Terms and Conditions.
Certain website services may require registration, and access to those services will be subject to an approved login and password (“Password Details”). All information provided must be accurate and complete. These credentials are for your use only, are non-transferable, and must remain confidential. If you have any concerns about security or suspect misuse, please notify us immediately.
Order Process
All orders placed with Direct Carpet Centre are subject to acceptance in line with these Terms and Conditions.
During the 'confirmation' stage, your order details will be reviewed. You will receive an acknowledgement email listing the products ordered. Please note that this email is not confirmation of acceptance.
Final acceptance of your order and completion of the contract will occur upon dispatch of the ordered products unless we notify you otherwise or if you cancel your order.
Delivery
We offer delivery to mainland England and Wales only, and all deliveries require a signature by an adult (18 years or older) upon receipt.
Delivery charges and estimated times are specified in our Delivery Information section. While we make every effort to meet estimated times, delays can occur due to unforeseen factors, and deliveries for multiple items may arrive separately. We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver within the estimated timeframe.
Once delivery is made, or the first delivery attempt is completed, the risk of loss or damage passes to you.
Delivery is typically to your external front door. For access reasons, some deliveries may be made only to the nearest ground-floor access point, such as the kerbside. Our drivers cannot deliver up flights of stairs.
Some drivers may assist with bringing items into your property upon request, but this is not guaranteed and is at their discretion. We cannot accept responsibility for any damages resulting from this assistance.
We strongly recommend that you do not book any fitter or landscaper until you have received and inspected your order, as we are not liable for any installation costs or missed wages due to delivery delays.
If the item being delivered is particularly heavy, you must ensure that sufficient help or equipment is available at the point of delivery. Alternatively, you may request smaller cut-down sizes to allow for easier delivery and unloading.
Payment
Payment is processed at the time of order, after verifying order details and payment methods. If we are unable to supply the ordered goods, you will be informed promptly and will receive a full refund if payment has been processed. For additional payment terms with PayPal, please refer to www.paypal.co.uk.
Prices are as displayed on the product page for your selected size(s) at the time of your order. While we aim to ensure all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we find a pricing error, we will notify you and offer the option to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel the order. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled, and any payment will be refunded.
Pricing for flooring is based on unit or square metre cost. In the event of any error in the pricing calculation, we reserve the right to either cancel the order or request additional payment if necessary.
Payment options include PayPal, debit/credit cards, and Klarna.
Klarna Payment Options: In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options:
- Pay Later 30: Defer payment for 30 days after your purchase.
- Pay in 3 Instalments: Spread the cost over three equal, interest-free payments.
- Pay Now: Immediate payment at checkout.
Payment is to be made to Klarna. For more information and Klarna’s user terms, please visit Klarna's Terms and Conditions. General information on Klarna can be found at Klarna UK. Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and Klarna's privacy statement.
Ownership of goods transfers to you upon delivery, provided payment has been fully processed.
All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
Returns, Cancellations, and Substitutions
You may cancel and return your order within 14 days of receipt, excluding items that have been cut to specific sizes. You are responsible for the cost and arrangement of the return. Items must be returned in the original packaging and condition.
Under Regulation 13c of the Distance Selling Regulations, customised orders cannot be cancelled once they have been cut or dispatched.
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us before cutting or fitting the items. We will arrange collection and replacement if necessary. Once an item is removed from its original condition (e.g., cut or fitted), we cannot offer a replacement or full refund.
Product specifications may occasionally change. We will endeavour to provide a similar substitute if a particular product is unavailable. Substituted items can be returned within 14 days if they do not meet your needs.
For collections, items must be well-wrapped for transit. If packaging is needed, we can supply it. Collections are from the nearest kerbside, and heavy items may require your assistance with loading.
IMPORTANT: Inspection Requirements: It is essential that both you and your nominated installer/fitter fully comply with the following conditions:
- You and your installer/fitter must roll out the material in full and inspect before any cut is made.
- Once you or your installer/fitter cut the material, you accept it & own it.
By proceeding with cutting or fitting, you acknowledge that you have inspected and accepted the item’s quality, dimensions, and condition.

Carpet & Flooring-Specific Conditions
Check your order upon receipt and before fitting. Once cut or fitted, ownership transfers to you, and we cannot replace or refund the product or cover fitting costs.
Inspect products and remove all sharp objects in the packaging before installation. We cannot be held responsible for injuries from improperly installed items.
Exact colour matches on different rolls are not guaranteed. Contact us if an exact colour match is essential.
Pile carpets may develop shading and show wear over time. This is a natural characteristic, not a defect.
Product dimensions comply with British Standards 3655 (1974), allowing for a tolerance of +/- 1.25%.
While we strive to meet delivery dates, delays may occur, and we cannot offer compensation.
Use proper fitting accessories to extend product life and maintain warranty coverage.
Flooring not fitted with the correct accessories may void any applicable warranty.
All flooring products carry a manufacturer’s warranty for residential properties. For commercial installations, this warranty is void unless otherwise specified on the product page.

Discount codes cannot be combined; only one code is valid per order.
